AFCO Purchases Hangar for FBO Operations at George Bush Intercontinental Airport, Houston, Texas

On March 30, 2005 AFCO purchased a hangar at George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH), Houston, Texas from Pennzoil-Quaker State Oil Company. Trajen Flight Support, L.P., an existing fixed-based operator (FBO) at IAH, will occupy and operate the hangar facility for the entire 15-year term of the ground lease. The hangar facility totals approximately 36,000 square feet plus office space of 7,625 square feet. AFCO Acquires FBO Facilities at Peoria Regional Airport and Pekin Municipal Airport

AFCO, in a joint venture with Quantem FBO Services, LLC, has acquired the stock and real estate assets of Byerly Aviation, Inc. and Byerly Avionics Incorporated, a 60 plus-year old family-run business, which provided fixed-based operations services at Greater Peoria Regional Airport and Pekin Municipal Airport, Illinois. As part of the transaction, AFCO acquired the leaseholds on six buildings, which include a total of five hangars, a general aviation terminal and office space. AFCO Acquires Three Additional Cargo Facilities in Dayton, Ohio

AFCO has entered into a 15-year ground lease with the City of Dayton to provide management and leasing services for three existing cargo facilities totaling approximately 42,850 square feet at Dayton International Airport. The facilities include a 12,650 square-foot building at 10392-10398 Freight Drive, a 26,670 square-foot building at 10400 Freight Drive and a 3,528 square-foot building at 10450 Freight Drive. AFCO started the process of renovating all three buildings with the 26,670 square-foot facility, which was recently occupied by Menlo Worldwide. AFCO has executed a new lease with USAir-PSA at 10392-10398 Freight Drive and assumed the lease with Mainline Road & Bridge Construction at 10450 Freight Drive.In addition to these facilities, AFCO has owned and managed five other buildings at Dayton totaling over 125,000 square feet since 1999. These buildings include two sorting and distribution facilities totaling approximately 88,300 square feet occupied by Federal Express, one cargo handling facility and two single-story office buildings....

AFCO Completes Construction of New Cargo Facility at Jackson International Airport

A new 40,000 square-foot air cargo facility developed by AFCO at Jackson International Airport began operations during the week of November 21, 2004. In May 2004 AFCO was selected by the Jackson Municipal Airport Authority (JMAA) Board to develop Phase 1 of the Mississippi Air Cargo Logistics Center. A 40-year ground lease was executed by AFCO for the financing, development, construction and management of the new facility.Initial tenants include the United Parcel Service, BAX Global, Delta Airlines, Integrated Airline Services, Menlo Worldwide, Page & Jones, the U.S. Customs Service, and the U.S. Postal Service. AFCO Selected to Finance, Design and Build a New Cargo Facility in Jackson, Mississippi

The Jackson Municipal Airport Authority (JMAA) Board has selected AFCO to develop Phase 1 of the Mississippi Air Cargo Logistics Center at Jackson International Airport. Under the terms of the 40-year ground lease, finalized on April 29th, AFCO will finance, develop, construct, manage and operate the new 40,000 square-foot air cargo facility.The facility will be located on Highway 475 adjacent to JMAA’s newly completed 450,000 square-foot aircraft apron. Tthe new facility will be completed by October 2004. AFCO Completes Construction of Cargo Facility at Pittsburgh International Airport

AFCO has completed development of a 50,000 square-foot air cargo building at Pittsburgh International Airport (PIT).  AFCO acquired the rights to develop on the building site in 1999 when AFCO acquired a leasehold on three existing cargo facilities at PIT that AFCO had been managing since 1995. AFCO continues to own and operate the three buildings, which total over 180,000 square feet of warehouse and over 450,000 square feet of apron.  Air Ground Express executed a lease for 10,000 square feet of the new facility.  On August 27th AFCO President Frank Chambers attended a grand opening ceremony for the facility held by the Allegheny County Airport Authority.Construction of a second 50,000 square-foot facility is also planned.  In addition to the four existing cargo facilities that AFCO manages and future development, AFCO also developed a 40,000 square-foot fixed-base operation facility at PIT in 2001....

AFCO Hires Chuck Stipancic as Chief Operating Officer

AFCO-GHG Finalizes Development Deal In Luton, United Kingdom

GHG-AFCO, LLC, a joint venture formed between AFCO, Grosvenor House Group plc Aviation Division (GHG) and Harrow & Co. has finalized its first development project at London Luton Airport in the United Kingdom. The project was finalized on October 18th with the Luton-Burrow Council, owner of the Airport, and includes a 25-year ground lease for the development of an apron and taxiway at Luton.
